I am married to Mark and we have 3 children... Heather (daughter-24),
Coti (daughter 20) and Cory (son-16) and live in Sumter, South
Carolina USA. The land of smiling faces and beautiful places!
 

I am an executive secretary and work in the field of human services
(serving individuals with mental retardation, autism and head and
spinal cord injuries) and Mark works for a bread company.  At one
time, I was fluent in American sign language, as I worked at a college
for the deaf.

Mark loves to buy "junk" and turn it into treasure. He hunts the yard
sales, flea markets and auctions for used and abused furniture to
refinish. I like to accompany him (to keep our money in check) and
I also like to do various arts and crafts.

The pig that owns me is Hamlet, aka Dammit Hammit. He's 2 1/2 years old and
is a 200 pound house piggy.
The other pet I have is...Wishbone (Spaniel/Puli mix) 1 1/2 years old.

Mark and I were fortunate enough to take a "piggy vacation" in May of
1998. We traveled to Florida and met a lot of  my swiner friends.  I also
took a trip to Tennessee and met a few.  So far, I have met:

Steph Dekilder, Betty Barnett, Pat Brown, Dee Cianci, Chelle, Leanne
Barkmeyer and Pam Kojis
On the phone I have spoken to Barb and Russ, and Ronaye Tylor. When
Jodi Ziegler (from Ohio) was adopting a piggy (Wilbur) from Florida,
the transfer was made at my house and I got to meet her, her daughter
Dayle and her mom Peggy Nichoson.

I have been on Swinesong for about 1 1/2 years and have formed a
bond like no other with the members. The people on this list are
very caring and very supportive. These traits were exhibited in
November of 1998 , when the members purchased airline tickets for
my daughter and I. We had ridden in a bus for 40 hours to New Mexico
to visit my terminally ill father. They very generously bought the
tickets so that we could fly home instead of taking the long bus
trip again.  This was an expression of love and something I will
never forget. This is not the only "good deed" this list has done.
