Hi I'm Barb Hales and I live in Monroe Michigan.
I have 5 children; Tanya, age 38, Randal, age 36,
James, age 34, Keina, age 32, and Jacki, age 30.
I don't own any piggies but I do have Prancer,
a black poodle, age 2 and Andre, a seal point
Himalayan cat, age 1.

I am 57 years old and divorced. I am home bound
and cannot use my arms. For past 14 years I have
had a trach and been ventilator dependent. I use my
big toe, left foot to type so I'm known as Toe Barb.
I use right foot to write, draw and anything else I can
reach. I have 9 grandkids between 6 and 14.  7 girls
and 2 boys.

BettyB and I have been friends more years
than most of you have been alive. She is my sister by
choice not birth.

Because of my trach I speak in a soft whisper so the
computer is my main source of communication. I
have been on SS for about 5 months and love it and

TEARS ON MY PILLOW

I try very hard to always smile
and say everything is fine
for this burden that I carry
is really only mine
it often becomes so heavy
that the pain is agony
and while I don't understand
God knows what's best for me
so when my heart is overflowing
with tears I won't let fall
I wait till everyone is asleep
then God see's and hears it all
so if tomorrow I don't feel like smiling
and happy words I cannot say
be patient with me while I wait
for God to take my pain away.
