I live in Ruskin, Florida (just south of Tampa)
with my husband, Bob, and my son, Armand,
and my four potbellied pigs, Lady Lee (1992),
Lord Chapman(1993), Duke of Earl (1997) and Princess Grace (1999). My husband is Chairman
and CEO of BBJ Environmental Solutions, Inc. (indoor air quality). I have a grown daughter,Caroline(20) that is a nurse and a grand-daughter born November, 1997 and they also live in Ruskin, near us.  My teenage son is quite an accomplished guitarist and has been invited to play in the 2000 All State Concerts Commemorative Program"  in January, 2000..  He is also a member of Positive Influence (a Christian musical group).  They perform at various Churches and fund raising events for Hospice, etc.

In 1992, Pillar Pigs of the Community was founded and I have served as President since.  We have quarterly meetings and quarterly newsletters.  I have served as Secretary to the North American Potbellied Pig Association since 1994.  NAPPA publishes "NAPPA NEWS" which is a monthly newsletter. I founded the Duchess Fund in June, 1999, which is a charitable
project of NAPPA pertaining to medical issues with potbellied pigs.  The NAPPA website is http://www.petpigs.com/nappa.htm
which contains more information about the Duchess Fund and many, many other items of interest.  My Duchess of Pork died in May, 1997 after a long struggle with liver disease and did not respond to medical treatment.  It was immediately thereafter
that the Duchess Fund was launched and we've made great strides in a very short period of time.  Our medical database is up and running and I expect to stay quite busy entering medical records.
Cornell University and the University of Georgia
has sent us their medical records on potbellied pigs.  We expect more universities to follow soon.

I have met the following Swiners in person:
